Still Unsure About What Process Structure Interaction Is And How It Can Benefit You?
04/29/2013

This month, Altair Partner Alliance’s Vicky Newby had a chance to learn more about the APA’s only Process Structure Interaction tool, CONVERSE. She was able to discuss the interface with OptiStruct, unique applications and benefits, among others with PART Engineering’s very own Sascha Pazour.

Click2Cast provides the easiest casting simulation available on the market
03/26/2013
Complete your casting simulation in as few as five steps!

One of the newest additions the Altair Partner Alliance, Click2Cast from Quantech ATZ performs a straightforward and quick mold filling and solidification simulation to enhance and optimize manufactured components through five simple steps:
1) Open the file in stereolithography (STL) format
2) Define the in-gate and mesh
3) Set up the process parameters
4) Run the calculation
5) Analyze the results
Click2Cast requires no special training or extensive technical background to help foundry engineers and other users avoid typical casting defects, such as air entrapment, porosity and cold shots, among others.
Quantech will be at the European ATC, so be sure to stop by their booth and say hello!
Check out their introductory webinar recording for more information!

HyperWorks Partner Alliance Expands Composites Offering Further by Adding MultiMech Suite to the Program.
11/28/2012
MultiMech Research & Development’s multiscale composite technology has been added to the HWPA’s CAE software solution set.
MultiMech Research & Development is the latest partner to join the HyperWorks Partner Alliance. Their software, MultiMech Suite, is a set of composite tools that allows users from many industries to analyze and optimize materials using its state-of-the-art two-way coupled multiscale technology. MultiMech Suite provides solutions to accurately and cost-efficiently relate materials’ microstructural design variables to overall structural performance. This helps solve problems related to mechanical failure and inefficient trial and error product development. To learn more about MultiMech R&D or MultiMech Suite, please visit their website.

TES International is Broadening their Relationship with the HyperWorks Partner Alliance by Adding their Thermal- and Fluid-flow Analysis Software, ThermoFlo, to the Lineup.
10/26/2012
ThermoFlo will further complete the HWPA’s thermal analysis offering by bringing a 1-D simulation capability to simplify the design testing process.

TES International, a thermal analysis software development company, has now added their software, ThermoFlo, to the lineup of software currently offered by the HyperWorks Partner Alliance (HWPA). ThermoFlo is a thermal and fluid flow analysis software package that has capabilities to solve thermal and flow problems for many different applications. It uses a 1-D systems modeling approach to allow for creation of a simpler, component-based model. This allows for geometrical changes to potentially be made as easily as changing a single value in the model, dramatically speeding up the prototyping and testing for interchanging different components in a system, or for tweaking the properties of the components. However, ThermoFlo is able to incorporate 3-D models into the systems for more detailed components.

TES International is Now Part of the HWPA
09/25/2012
Thermal analysis software, ElectroFlo, can now be downloaded on their website

The HWPA has launched a new partner, TES International. Their software, ElectroFlo, is an electronics cooling package that combines coupled thermal/electrical analysis with a user-friendly GUI to provide solutions for complex problems.
ElectroFlo is a great addition to the HWPA because it has CFD capabilities on top of its thermal analysis specialty, giving it the capacity to expand to other industries. TES will increase its traction in new markets as well as solidify its position in mature sectors by joining. Simultaneously, the HWPA’s users can utilize ElectroFlo with their existing HWU’s, thus increasing their return on investment within the HWPA. We are eager to watch TES grow within the program.
