HyperMesh: To generate HTML mesh quality report
03/25/2013
This feature creates an HTML mesh quality report. The report can be generated for the current model or multiple models saved in a folder. The tool uses the standard HyperMesh criteria file as input. It summarizes the Quality Index (QI) calculations, along with information on the number of elements that fall into each QI range.

Topology revision: Advanced remesh option when using Quick Edit
01/22/2013
The mesh subpanel found in the Options panel allows you to change default meshing behavior, such as when performing an automatic re-mesh of geometry that has been edited to change its topology. Mesh subpanel can be found in Preferences Meshing options.
Topology revision is one of the parameters in the mesh subpanel which determines what to do when you change the model geometry’s topology.
Topology revision includes:
1) Keep mesh: keep the model’s existing mesh.
2) Delete mesh: delete the model’s existing mesh.
3) Remesh: automatically remesh the model using default values.
4) Advanced remesh: maintains node associations with surfaces (normal remesh may not always retain node/surface associativity, which may result in orphaned elements).

SYSSETTINGS-SAVE FILE
01/22/2013
The SYSSETTING command can be used in the I/O Options section to alter system settings. Most of these options can also be specified in the config file (hwsolver.cfg).
Panel Description:
To access SYSSETTINGS within HM11.0, go to Analysis > Control cards > “SYSSETTINGS” panel OR
Tools pull down > Create cards > S > SYSSETTINGS:

SAVEFILE controls behavior of solver when output file with the same name already exists when program starts. There are three ways to control the generation of output file from solver.
SAVEFILE = ALL will prevent overwriting output files by renaming an existing file by adding numeric suffix, e.g. jobname.h3d will be renamed to jobname_nnn.h3d where nnn represents the smallest number for file which does not exists yet.
SAVEFILE = OUT (default) will preserve only .out and .stat files.
SAVEFILE = NONE will allow the solver to overwrite any existing file.
File Location:
The configurations file location on Windows and Linux machines:
Windows: C:\Program Files\Altair\11.0\hwsolvers
Linux: ${ALTAIR_HOME}/hwsolvers directory
Note : All the SAVE options are targeted to be made available from HyperMesh 12.0.
For all versions below HW11.0.130: SAVE FILE= ALL works irrespective of the option set in the config file.
