RADIOSS for Linear Analysis

Static and Normal Modes Analysis This is an introductory course for using RADIOSS to solve static linear problems. This is a one day training with focus on understanding how to solve structural problems using a high level finite element solver, the theoretical and practical aspects of these problems are presented to provide the attendees a very good base to start using RADIOSS on their own models.

  • One student to a computer

Prerequisites

A basic knowledge of finite element analysis. A basic knowledge about Pre and Post processing finite element models.

  • Hand editing the cards w/o a preprocessor
  • Submitting jobs and reviewing the results files from RADIOSS
  • Debugging models
  • Creating materials, properties, components & BCs
  • Model organization in HyperMesh
  • Submitting jobs from HyperMesh
  • Bending and torsion of a channel bracket assembly
  • Thermal stress analysis of a printed circuit board
  • Modal Analysis
  • Inertia relief Analysis
  • Buckling Analysis

Featured Training: Introduction to HyperStudy

DOE, Approximation, Optimization and Stochastic Studies

This is an introductory course teaching the use of HyperStudy and performing design of experiments (DOE), optimization, and stochastic studies with various linear and non-linear solvers.  This one day course features hands-on exercises that explore:

  • Methods/Techniques and applications for DOE, approximations, optimization and stochastic studies
  • Setup of optimization, stochastic and DOE models for various solvers such as Radioss and others
  • Generation of shape variables using HyperMesh and HyperMorph and their integration into HyperStudy
  • Parametrization of solver input files
  • Interpretation of results from optimization, stochastic and DOE studies
