Manufacturers today are faced with the challenge of developing innovative products and bringing them to market within ever decreasing timelines while also controlling software costs. Altair HyperWorks addresses these issues by providing the CAE industry’s broadest range of engineering solutions under one licensing umbrella.

In 2008, Altair opened the HyperWorks Platform to ISV partner applications. This initiative, called the HyperWorks Partner Alliance, allows customers to dynamically access HyperWorks and third-party partner technology using a common pool of HyperWorks Units.

“The HWPA offers us a great chance to use a multitude of tools in a cost-effective way,” says Stefan Vogler, Team Leader, CAE for M.TEC “It is not affordable to buy a new license for every test of project we have to do, but with the HWPA we can evaluate tools using our existing units without the traditional entry barriers associated with acquiring new software.”

More than 500 companies worldwide currently take advantage of the HyperWorks Partner Alliance. Members of the HWPA community can leverage the expertise of both Altair and partner product specialists for support and training. With no long-term commitment, users can test and implement a growing suite of partner technology that can increase productivity and ultimately help companies build better products faster.

Sridhar Ravikoti is the Technical Director of Global Partner Programs at Altair. He has been with Altair since 2000, gaining experience in engineering product development and software program management. In his current role as a technical lead for the Altair Partner Alliance, Sridhar drives a synergetic relationship between Altair offering and its Partners. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Osmania University in India, and a Master’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor degree in Applied Mechanics.
